Quiet Scenes on Film

I am quite fond of film yet the reason for this fondness has evolved. Initially, shooting film gave me a false sense of achievement but this waned as I realized that there was no merit to be found in photographing on this medium. In other words, shooting film did not make me a better photographer.

Don’t let anyone tell you their photos are better than someone else’s because they shoot film. This is false and must be rejected.

Film photos are not better; they are different.

Film cameras offer a different interface and experience for photographers. Generally, these cameras force us to slow down and think about the subject, exposure, and composition.

Below is a set of frames I recently shot for my own enjoyment. These are quiet scenes that caught my attention because of their unassuming nature.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
